If you're new to Cook Well

Download the app or go to app.cookwell.com, and sign up with the email address the invite was sent to. You join the household as soon as you're in, with full access through their membership.

If you already have an account

Sign in with the email the invite was sent to. Cook Well asks if you'd like to join their household. Choose Join to accept.

If you chose Not now, the invite waits for you until it expires:

  1. Open the Cookbook tab, tap your initials, then tap the gear for Settings. Household has a dot when an invite is waiting.
  2. Tap Household.
  3. Under Invitation, tap Join.
  1. Open the menu next to your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings. Household has a dot when an invite is waiting.
  2. Choose Household.
  3. Under Invitation, choose Join.

What happens to your own things

Nothing is merged or deleted. While you're in their household you see its planner, lists, cookbook and chats. What you had before is kept aside, and comes back if you ever leave.

If you already pay for your own membership, joining doesn't cancel it. See How membership works in a household.

If joining doesn't work

  • “This invite isn't for this account.” Sign in with the address the invite was sent to.
  • “Someone is in your household right now.” You've already added someone to your own household. Remove them first, then join.
  • “You're in another household.” Leave that one first, then join.
  • “This invite has expired or was cancelled.” Ask them to send a new one.
