Getting started
- Cook Well on your phone and the webOne account works everywhere, in the iPhone and Android apps and at app.cookwell.com in any browser.
- Create an account or sign inThere's no password. Enter your email and we'll send you a 6-digit code to type in.
- Find your way aroundFive tabs on your phone, a sidebar on the web. Here's where everything lives.
Household
- What is a household?Two people sharing one Cook Well kitchen on one membership, each with their own login.
- What's shared and what stays yoursYou share the planner, grocery lists, cookbook and chats. Your login, profile and cooking history stay your own.
- Invite someone to your householdSend an invite by email from Settings → Household. They have 14 days to join.
- Join a householdSign in with the email the invite went to, then join. New to Cook Well? You're in as soon as you sign up.
- Leave a household or remove someoneA member can leave at any time, and the owner can remove them. Everything you added together stays with the household.
- How membership works in a householdOne membership covers both of you. If you already pay for your own, joining a household doesn't cancel it.
Account
- Didn't get your sign-in code?Check spam, ask for a new code, and make sure your email is right. Codes last 10 minutes.
- Change your name or bioMembers can edit their name and bio in Settings. Your sign-in email can't be changed in the app.
- App settingsTheme, keeping the screen on while you cook, grocery list order and the day your week starts. On your phone.
- Delete your accountAsk for deletion in Settings on your phone. Your account is deleted after 30 days, and your membership isn't cancelled.
Membership & billing
- What's free and what a membership includesAnyone can browse free recipes, the fundamentals and collections. A membership unlocks the rest, for you and one other person.
- Become a memberJoin in the app or on the web. Wherever you join, your membership works everywhere you sign in.
- Paid but still locked?Check you're signed in with the same email, then use Restore Purchases on your phone or Refresh access on the web.
- Change or cancel your membershipCancel from wherever you joined. You keep member access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- RefundsApple and Google handle refunds for purchases made through them. For a web purchase, email us.
- Kickstarter backers and promo accessSign in with the email you backed with. Your access is added automatically.
