Step 1: Braise the meat
Braised beef
- chuck roast900 g2lb
- beef broth, or wateras needed
- saltto taste
- black pepperto taste
Salt & season the meat and set the oven to 300°F/148°C.
Add a spoonful of oil to a dutch oven. Add the meat and it on all sides until a nice brown crust forms.
Add enough beef broth to almost submerge the meat, and bring it to a simmer. Cover and transfer to the oven to until tender for 5-7 hours.
