Cheesy & Garlicky Roasted Broccoli

I first featured this recipe in my popular video: "Why are restaurant vegetables so much better than homemade ones?" If you have fresh broccoli that works too, but this is a great way to use a bag of frozen veggies.

Ingredients

  • Broccoli

    • broccoli
      , frozen
      1 bag
    • extra virgin olive oil
      as needed
  • Aromatics & spices

    • garlic
      5 cloves
    • salt
      to taste
    • black pepper
      to taste
    • parmesan
      , grated
      to taste

Method

Step 1: Prep the pan & broccoli

Preheat the oven to 475 F°/246°C. Add a drizzle of oil to coat a sheet pan and place in the oven to preheat.

In a bowl, toss together the frozen broccoli, salt, garlic cloves, black pepper, and enough olive oil to coat.

Step 2: Roast

Once the oven is hot, pull the pan out, add the tossed vegetables, and evenly space them out across the hot pan. for 30 to 40 minutes until deeply browned.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Optionally serve with grated cheese over the top. Enjoy.
