Bacon Egg and Cheese Bagel
New York-style bagel sandwiches at home.
This New York City classic sandwich is so easy to replicate at home. I love making this with a plain or sesame seed bagel. Make your own NYC style bagels or pick some up at the store.

Ingredients
Bagel sandwich
- bagels1
- eggs, scrambled2
- bacon2-4 slices
- cheese1 slice
Additional toppings
- hot sauce
Method
Step 1: Fry bacon
In a hot pan, up 2-3 slices of bacon (or however much you want) to your desired crispness. Set aside.

Step 2: Scramble eggs
Crack eggs into a bowl and whisk them together.
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add some butter to the skillet. Once your pan is hot, and the butter is melting, add the whisked eggs and cook until your preferred doneness.

Step 3: Assemble the sandwich
Slice open your bagel of choice and lay the slice of cheese on the bottom, followed by the bacon and eggs. Add any kind of hot sauce or condiment on top before closing the sandwich.
Optionally wrap in foil or parchment paper to compress the sandwich and let it and soften up. Enjoy warm.
